Notiz: Arrived in America from Alsace region aboard the "Samuel" on 30 Aug 1737. Later in 1737, Heinrich obtained a Land Warrant and received 150 acres from Thomas and William Penn. This land was sold in 1741. He purchased a lot in what is now Reading, PA in 1757. He and other Germans petitioned to name the area after 'Elsas', their place of origin, and thus, Alsace Township in Berks County, PA was formed.
