Note:

I received Katharine's death certificate March 16, 1999. It lists her father's name as John KRIM. However, two of her children's death certificates list her maiden differently; one is KEIN, and the other is KEEN.Her death certificate lists her mother's maiden name as (not legible) Eckhardt.I found she and her daughter, Carolina, in the 1900 Census for Scio Township, Village of Dexter, Washtenaw County, Michigan; Enumeration District No. 103, Sheet 8B dated June 7, 1900 (page 16 in Ancestry's site)As a white female, born October 1826. She was 73 at the time and a widow. She was shown as having born 6 children, 4 were living as of 1900. She and her parents listed as being from Germany. She emigrated in 1884 and had been in the country 16 years. She could read, write and speak English. She owned this home which was a farm and it was mortgaged. Lina lived with her at this time.Source: Dexter Leader Newspaper, Thursday, August 21, 1913 - ObituaryMrs. Elizabeth Kraushaar, aged 86 years, and for many years a resident of this village, died Monday, August 18th at noon, while sitting in her chair, of heart disease. She had been ailing for some time, but her death was unexpected. She leaves four children, Henry of Minnesota, Frederick of Illinois, and August and Miss Lena of Dexter.Funeral services will be hald this Thursday afternoon, 2 o'clock , at the home, conducted by Rev. Mr. Schoen of Chelsea. Burial will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery.[Jan 3429.FTW]When Katherine died, she was 86 years old. Cause of death is listed as "Vulvulor Heart Disease". The Merck Medical Manual has no definition for this. I would assume it should read "Valvular" which makes sense.
